🍃🛹🎨 The Grove is a place that I’ve seen grow from its very first days until now. It’s become a full-scale skate DIY, community garden and creative place.
I’ve had the idea for an illustration that involves a doorway to a magical world for over 10 years, but the full vision finally came one day when I was tending to the tomatoes in The Grove garden. Suddenly as the rain came, I took shelter under the trees and with little else to do I started to sketch. This Lino print brings together all the parts that make up The Grove. Come in, skate around the DIY and then walk through the doorway into the garden full of magic: flowers blooming, butterflies fluttering, a fox snoozing in the weed beds, and if you stay late enough a fire pit surrounded by crackles of fire and cackles of laughter ✨ it’s a place that is very special to me and so many others 💚
